BRUSSELS, Saturday, June 1, 2024 (WAFA) - Belgium has condemned the Israeli occupation's attempts to classify the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) as a terrorist organisation.

Hadja Lahbib, Belgium's Foreign Minister, wrote on X, "Belgium condemns the Israeli parliament's attempts to classify UNRWA as a terrorist organisation and to remove the immunity of its staff."

"UNRWA's activities are essential for the Palestinians in the face of the dramatic humanitarian situation in Gaza," she affirmed.
