Looks like the White House staff knew that Biden can’t give a sensible reply. So better to have the reporters “usher” out of the room.
You can see Biden’s looks kind of “no choice”.
Reminds me of an incident where a senior relatives who tend to babble about the old days stories and his children (cousins) tend to stop him from continuing with the conversation would usher him out of my parent place…..

Biden needs a teleprompter or autocue throughout his election campaign otherwise he cannot do it, so live questions from reporters on television is a no no you see?
