Are you sure the US focuses on ASEAN? In the past none of the U.S. presidents attended ASEAN summits despite of invitation, Obama didn’t come, Trump didn’t come and Biden wants ASEAN leaders to see him in his Palace in Washington DC rather than making a trip visiting these countries….the conclusion is the U.S. doesn’t care about ASEAN thinking we are still poor 3rd world nations in the 70s, the reason it wants to talk to us is to gang up to fight China. Biden’s $150 million fund for building huts in Southeast Asia, is it?
