You should only eat locally grown fruits..Eating fruits that are transported thousands of miles are bad for carbon footprint..and these fruits are probably laced with chemical to keep it fresh.

That one I dun refute. Cheap but not sweet. Surprisingly, Israel ones are big but also not sweet. I realise that the bigger strawberries are usually not sweet. Jap and Korean ones are small but sweet.

More than 10 years ago when I was in Shanghai , a basket of strawberries bought from their market was about 10-15 renminbi. The strawberries were very sweet and juicy. Over the years the Chinese over the learnt to like this fruit and now it’s easily 4-5 times the cost of what it was then.
