They are jealous and ashamed at the same time! Sad

No fight against SG.

Dr Mud already said before. SG is small but more powerful.

Actually I think all this military fear mongering is just that. Any war is mutually destructive will require mad men to be running either countries to happen.

If ever it happens no amount of weaponry and money can overcome certain immutable.

1. Singapore is a point target. Means any enemy can point all their missiles into a concentrated land mass.

2. On the other hand Malaysia and Indonesia our immediate neighbors are so vast ....it will dilute any attacks.

3. Most rich Singaporeans have homes in UK and US they will start fleeing when tensions rise. Seeing this ordinary Singaporea6who cannot afford an air ticket out and are stuck will become demoralised but have not other choice but to fight to our deaths.

4. In a guerilla war your nightmare never ends as enemy will keep hiding and harassing you ..until your resources are exhausted  look at Vietnam superpower US also cannot win. Afghanistan ?

5. Hence military is useful only as a psychological tool to be able to create a response to small incidents so that citizens are happy you are not doing nothing. One example is malaysia park few ships and redraw boundary. We can respond with a few ships and make some bold statements.

6. The other side can play the smart game by constantly creating tensions and  making us overspend on defense ....this will lower our social spending which is already lacking and unravel us internally. This I believe is their strategy to weaken us and lower our competitiveness.

7. Hence we should always be unaffected by such videos and purposeful actions to raise tensions....and prioritise based on the needs not over react.

Humans never learn their lessons ever since atomic bomb during WWII. It is super bad decision to start a war.

Because Assmerica Alamak visits Sg and not Malaisai, so they buisong want to show Assmerica Alamak what they can do. But I only see TKSS, not their military capabilities.

The commander spoke in inggeris but most of the bolehland malazy solders can't speak or understand inggeris. They may end up thinking they are doing a mock attack on phuket. No need to threaten us with a floating submarine and grounded warplanes waiting for spares

I think we need to rethink the fundamental logic of what we do and why we are doing.

In the beginning we had no defense so GKS had to create one from scratch. With threat of communists coming down from North and a tumultuous breakup with Malaysia the motivation was there

Now 50+yrs later the world is a different place. Collapse around the world has been driven by internal forces. Just look around. ....what happen in Hong Kong, what happened in Libya, Syria, Afghanistan,....Brexit  and election of Trump in 2016.

The threats are not external but grow from internal dissatisfaction from social seams and inequality.

Spending has to address the real problems not the imagined ones.

Here is where Malaysian stratagem gets clever is to make the videos, sends messages so we are mis-cued to spend more on defense and trigger the internal hawks in Singapore to misallocate and overestimate the external threats.

They do this every year around national day. Dr. M is even more cunning. He will create small controlled events to reinforce our defence planners thinking and mis-cue then.

Just like Temasek elites investment decisions often get it wrong. Its the same for the rest of leadership.
