#1

Australia on Sunday cleared the first Covid-19 vaccine for children aged five to 11, with the next stage of its vaccine rollout expected to start in early 2022.

Health Minister Greg Hunt said medical regulators had granted provisional approval for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to be administered to younger children for the first time.

It follows similar decisions in the European Union, the United States, Israel and Canada.

Hunt said the vaccination of 2.3 million Australian children in the cohort will start on January 10, subject to approval from the nation's immunisation advisory body.

"It is recommended for children right across Australia," he said of the vaccine.

"It is about keeping our kids safe, keeping our families safe, keeping all Australians safe."

I don't think our govt. will encourage those who are under 11 to be  vaccinated with Covid-19 virus.  Our govt. is more interested in vaccinating those above 60 first, then those above 40 as the second in turn...... Thinking

TS children in Aus ?4% of eligible population still resist to vaccine
So Govt will be more eager to push through for 5-11 age group, it is matter will there be more options should be available.

If to push below 5yrs old, maybe they should consider Intranasal vaccine
Intranasal vaccine use much less dose than Jab vaccine,
thus should be much less effects while achieving same effectiveness.
