The band's lead singer, Matty Healy, kissed his boy bandmates in the middle of a performance before taking to the stage, swearing at the Malaysian government and promoting support for LGBT.

At the time, Healy appeared to be drunk during the performance, and his show was stopped by the organizers halfway through.

In a video widely shared on social media, Mati Healey then told the audience that the show was over because 'we are banned from entering Kuala Lumpur'.
