If not now....when?
If not me....who?
Change does not come easy.
Given the state of governance of our nation, lit will be difficult for me to remain a bystander. Almost everything has gone downhill since the last election. Everything affordability of housing, nmedical care and job security has gone downhill.
Yesterday i saw a parliament exchange between Leong Mun Wai and Minister Tan See Leng who claimed that Singaporeans enjoy an abundance of good high paying jobs becauee the govt imported foriegn workers. Oh really?
Good jobs....is there such a thing as a good insecure job? See the article below.
Actually the people on the ground dont need the minister to tell them what reality is they can see it for themselves. Hhose in ivory towers the view is always good

A few weeks ago a PAP MP claimed that food in Singapore is cheaper than in Malaysia? Really? The PAP can stop taking us for a ride.

The cost of living crisis cuts across all areas from dental care to transport. Those who need a car will find it harder to own one.
Its so bad poorer S'poreans have to go to Johor to find a solution because things are just unaffordabls here.

Almost nothing improved in the last 15yrs.
So what do they do for votes these days? Give generous handouts before elections called sweeteners to make people forget the real issues. After election, business as usual same policies to the detriment of ordinary Singaporeans.
They will not change course so long as they can entice voters with sweeteners and upgrading carrots.
While i am not optimistic about that the elections results favor Singaporeans in the long term, i find it difficult to do nothing except turn up to vote. The opposition has limited resources and every helping hand counts.

I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
