I know of many S'poreans who have been actively seeking a full-time PME position for some time now, with limited success despite consistent interview efforts. These are white collar workers with strong resumes and possess the necessary skills and experience, yet I have not been able to secure an offer.

Many others face similar challenges, including feelings of frustration and even depression owing to persistent setbacks. Knowing they are not alone does not diminish the exhausting nature of their situation.

Even though I am on the verge of an early retirement, I am concerned about the current state of the job market for my children's generation. While the technology industry restructuring is prominent, the difficulties seem to extend across various other sectors. Looking at the sheer number of foreign white collar workers in S'pore, the underlying reasons for this challenging employment landscape seem pretty obvious.

That is exactly the problem! Most S'poreans are not millionaires. Most of the ones applying for jobs may not even possess the means to put food on the table at the moment.

this problem can only be resolved when PAP votes continue to drop in every election because the unemployment data will always be good and no action is required.
