Gulangyu is a nice place to wander about.  In my younger days, I could walk and walk and walk, all over the shop, but not nao.

But other than Gulangyu, Xiamen does not have much else and is not even a top-tier city.

To connect Taiwan to Xiamen is not a goot way to spend money.  It's not cost-effective, it's not an efficient use of public funds to connect Taiwan to a small second tier city.. Rolleyes
