Many of the shadow banks are related to State Governments and these shadow banks are involved heavily in real estate.

Quote:The shadow bank, which traditionally had sizable real estate exposure, missed payments on dozens of so-called trust products since late July, roiling markets and raising fears that China's financial system may be at risk from the property sector crisis.

Angry retail investors in Zhongrong's trust products last month held protests in Beijing and lodged complaint letters with regulators, pleading with the authorities to step in after the missed payments.

YZJ Finance might be the lucky one with little exposure to those real estate developers or owners who were in trouble.  Others like  Zhongzhi Enterprise Group or Sichuan Trust were not so lucky.

China has one of the largest shadow banking industries with approximately 40% of the country's outstanding loans tied up in shadow banking activities according to this wiki.

Understand US has the largest number of shadow banks in the World, they might be in trouble too if there is a serious property crisis in the US.
