Please go through the youtube video again. The NASA guy never said "Take Control of the Dark Side of the Moon" @ 2.46, he just said "China is going to have a lander on the far side of the moon. We are not planning to go there. Our decision is it is more profitable for us to go to the South Pole. We think this is where the water is. We have no idea why China decided to go the far side of the moon,

LOL!
teaserteam is starting to realise just how drama some media can be when comes to China and question just how much fear they have against China.
How I wish NASA chief can learn abit of Mandarin and visit China just once instead of repeating nonsense like China wanna "Take Control" of the Moon.

The way the NASA chief put it, think China just wasting their effort and time if they r looking for living things. Moon landing is not a novelty anymore. Japan have also made a moon landing.

Good to see them waste more AT's sweat and rmb on this kind of wayang space projects like USSR did in the past.
But knowing how irresponsible AT tend to be, they may end up with a project that will try crash the moon into earth and end every life on the planet.

Indeed, Moon landing is no longer a "novelty"...which fails to explain why the fear mongering about "China taking over the Moon" by the NASA boss..
And speaking of "Living Things" on the Moon, I can see why Mr Nelson is more interested in China than FACTS about the Moon...
A sprouting cotton seed on China’s Chang’e 4 lunar lander is the first plant ever to germinate on another world, heralding a new era for life in space. Seeds of cotton, oilseed, potato and arabidopsis were carried to the moon as part of a biosphere experiment, along with fruit fly eggs and some yeast.
