the responsbile thing to do for taiwan is to hold a referendum

and before that arm it to the teeth , nuclear if needed

so that the people gets to decide

and seriously if ..china can conquer taiwan .. can you imagine what it says for other places like

I beg to differ, China will want Taiwan to be returned as it is always been known that Taiwan is a runaway province of China.  It will only be a matter of time, that Taiwan will become part of China, either thru' peaceful means or by military force.....

The ball is in England vegetable's court. If she stays status quo, it will be peaceful. If she starts bringing in foreign interference (that's why we have FICA to prevent this) like US to mess around then US will likely create a crisis for China to take over by force and be isolated by the West for a few years like what Ho Chi Meng done in Vietnam. I think the communists are prepared to bite the bullet of isolating by West and have their reunion of Taiwan.....

You are right to say reunification is a matter of time.  China may wish to have a peaceful reunion thru' political leaders, but if this failed then they will force to reunite Taiwan by military force....

Now that the US forces are being asked to leave Afghanistan, they may now switch their attention to Taiwan.  It is expected that Taiwan will procure fighter aircrafts and other military hardware to defend themselves.  With this arrangements, the US may sell billion of dollars on military hardware to Taiwan.....
