China agrees to invest $3 bln in Indonesia sovereign wealth fund

July 4 (Reuters) - China's Silk Road Fund (SRF) has signed an agreement to invest up to 20 billion yuan ($2.99 billion) in Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, the funds said on Monday, a deal some analysts said could deter Western investors from the Indonesian fund.

The agreement allows for investment in all sectors open to foreigners in Indonesia, especially projects with economic connectivity between the countries, the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) and SRF said in a joint statement.

Is it becoz China didn't invest in GIC?

Why China didn't trust Singapore Govt with $3 Bil instead of investing with Indonesia Govt?

..

Obviously, Singapore SWF is not interested or excited over China's $3 Bil investment at all.

Singapore Govt considers it as "nose snot."
