Do you think the people of Taiwan after experiecing democracy for decades will be stupid enough to give up on all their rights and be subjects of a autocratic ruler? you think they cannot change the constitution?  they have been assured freedom and 0 threats as long as they dont declare indepence. ..they have kept their end of the bargain , so if China changes the status quo.. all bets are off

Singapore separated from Malaysia legally, agreed by both sides. 

Taiwan is a province of China, where civil war has not ended. 

Taiwan's constitution is that if ROC which states clearly ROC's territory.

See the difference?
