Around 10 holes of varying depths were also found on the patch. The holes are believed to be rodent burrows.

The rats would be running all over the crockery and chewing on food that the hawkers marinate before they open their stalls every morning. I wouldn't eat at the coffee shops in the vicinity.

The ABC market and hawker centre where many TB cases were found, also infested with rats. Relatives told me that they used rat poison to try kill them but failed. The nea went there to try eradicating the rats, but also failed. Fearing that the food is contaminated by the rat poison, I threw away those food that my relatives gave me.
