Did Taiwan claimed not to want to have peaceful unification with China?  Think they r just saying they r not accepting  China's "one country, two systems" arrangement.

Quote:The Kuomintang, now Taiwan's largest opposition party, has long advocated closer ties with China. Yet its chairman, Eric Chu, when asked about a telegram the party sent to Beijing to congratulate the Chinese Communist Party on holding its congress this week, told Taiwan media the message was sent in deference to custom, and that he opposed a Hong Kong-style "one country, two systems" arrangement for Taiwan with China.

Similarly,  if Malaysia were to propose Singapore to join Malaysia with Malaysia taking control of Singapore like it used to be before 1959,  would Singapore politicians and Singaporeans agree? We used to have a similar one country 2 system setup before

Singapore and Malaysia is different. We have separation agreement and we declared independent. China and Taiwan don't have any such agreement.

There is no international laws or rules saying Singapore Malaysia cannot reunify.  Taiwan is not the only Independent country or State that is not recognized by United Nation. You can however claimed HK is not a independent country or state as it never was.

I thought dpp wants taiwan to be independent? Flip again?

Other races in Singapore can never accept the bumiputra policy in Malaysia. Does China has one? So why compare Singapore with Taiwan?
