Tan Chuan-Jin will claim that these seniors are working for exercise and not because they need the money.

Never mind your age.
Just need to be able to speak English.
Can be a guide for 4 hrs a day.
Make friends, feel useful to society, pass time. Earn pocket money.

Govt lapse concerns on this area. It is spiralling out of control. They are partly responsible for this. Many commoners are squeezing tight belt over this concerns.

The foreigners must first ask the ex foreigners that came to Singapore and stole the lunch of Singaporeans then. These Singaporeans then had a tough life and when they grew old they became the elderlies that are still working for a living lah.

But of course it's not the foreigners or ex foreigners' problem as it was the govt policy lah... The govt also not at fault because they got the mandate from the voters. End of the day? Voters problem lor, give mandate must not be too generous else you get the govt you didn't dream of lah...
