BEIJING, WEDNESDAY-As countries around the world apply the principle of "make peace with Covid-19" and reopen borders, China remains adamant on a no-cases policy. The areas remained quarantined despite only one positive case. Statistically, more than half of China's population has been fully vaccinated. However, in factual terms, for a country the size of China this amount is still risky.
Based on data from the Chinese Government as of November 9, 2021, China has completely vaccinated 75.8 percent of its population. This figure is equivalent to 1.07 billion people. On paper, this looks like an achievement. However, China has a population of 1.4 billion people.
The number of those who have not been vaccinated is more than 300 million people, roughly equivalent to the population of the United States.
