The Standing Committee of the Chinese National Assembly announced the above decision but did not explain the reason.
Among the nine officials removed from the National Assembly, five were from the Rocket Force, including Senior General Ly Ngoc Sieu, the former commander of this force. General Ly lost his position in July this year, according to a statement on Xinhua News Agency, but the reason is unknown.
