Taiwan is not even a state but is only a province of China. Don't see the question of country sovereignty arising should China chooses to invade Taiwan as it is only a desident province of China. This is a completely different issue between Russia and Ukraine which are 2 different and separate independent countries unless LHL is implying that China and Taiwan are 2 separate and independent countries.

Biden invitation to LHL is basically to ask Singapore not to allow Russia to trade their gold. This would stop Russia from having their Ruble being recognised or gain tractions by the European countries and/or trade them.
This would then allow the American dollar continue to be the dominance in the world.
The American does not want to have the Ruble to gain any tractions in the world, where currently Russia has insisted that all tradings with them have to be in Ruble. And the gold reserve in Russia is able to substantiate their currency value.
So America had already told every exchange which are recognised in the world not to allow Russia to trade them. And Singapore being a friendly alliance with America this is of importance, in my opinion.
Especially when the rest of Asia other than Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, the rest did not join in the sanctions against Russia, like we did.
