Philippines was whacked by Japanese in WW2. If not for US step in to fight back they will live under Japan rule. Now it seems they feel China is like Japan so they go get foreign help. I wonder are Philippines so weak that every time need foreign help ownself cannot settle?

It is a neglected child. So need external support. They have young troops that can be mobilised for war. It is easier to mobilise them than to mobilise the Taiwanese. Further, more countries will support them.
