So how?

IRAS also cannot collect more income tax

MOM cannot catch those Foreign Employees who come here to work (lie to say meetings) 3 or 10 times a year

Now PAP knows how weak their Govt Policies are

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

It doesn't matter. All payroll will be centralised at mom and by legislation. Cannot run.

Ms Tan Wan Ting, who founded digital marketing agency Weave Asia in 2017, currently hires 11 full-time employees in Singapore and 13 in Malaysia.

Although the agency’s work can be done remotely, she was “willing to bear a lot of operating costs” for an office and full-time employees in Singapore to ensure a fast response time for clients.

Why waste so much on rental? Is her marketing agency from Stone Age and does not have MS Office Outlook package that can work fast?

in other countries
they will made those companies pay three times more higher taxes

Should just set rule to make everyone flexible one hour less
and applies to nationalities at all level. Then there will not be such scenario.

Many companies are not doing well since inflation creep up.
The one come of the idea apparently think all are well

At the moment, 95% of jobs created in 2023 and 89% in 2022 went to foreigners. How much worse is it going to be for true blue S'poreans when companies start hiring from abroad?

Makimg me laugh while browsing the article. Why CNA interview such a worker without any experience in the first place? Want to hire overseas in Malaysia or Thailand,  go ahead. Pay 24% Corp Taxes in Malaysia and don't get wage credit scheme support.

Having said so- there is a flaw in the Wage Credit Scheme. IRAS shoupd use average local headcount in the spread of 36 months instead.

Think if they do that, then the company shld not be in S'pore.

Go open in earthquake prone Taiwan or Japan.

Or better yet, put it in those Islamic countries & try this stunt. They will "punish" them heavily for ignoring their bumi policy.....

That's right, more job loss as they prefer Flexi work. So they asked for it. Want easy and relax work life, so employers let them rest for good by employing overseas.     Rolleyes

Because of these stupid policies and guidelines from the government
1) strategic positions are given to FT as the companies cannot afford any disruption in their work to go for 2 weeks of reservist.
2) young married women applying for job would not be selected as the company cannot afford to pay the employee without doing any work during her maternity leaves.
