I am not worried about Singapore. There is very little speculative money and stock valuation is very tame.
May be some banks will fall out of fear more than anything else....but I don't see why other stocks would react.
I thought bursting the US stock bubble eventually would be good because last 10yrs the US bubble suck the lifeblood from stock markets in Asia. Nobody even consider Asia given US was such a star performer but now the star is falling investors would shift out and diversify.
US stocks bottoming is not so difficult to understand
1. Average 10yr CAPE is 18. Stocks are now 30...around 40% too expensive.
2. With interet rate at 5% CAPE should be around 12....which means the potential drop in stock price can be catastrophic.
3. But uS stock is not homogenous. Some parts are actually cheap with high yields.
