I went through something similar last year and felt totally lost at first. What helped me eventually was going through IT Training Bootcamps - those gave me the hands-on skills I needed and filled the gaps fast. Not saying it's perfect, but it was way better than the confusing info I got during the career conversion process. Some classmates had also joined after unclear CCP experiences.
