Our Govt just tell you one thing you will stop compare.
Why we pay more because we buy foods from other countries. Full stop.
Thailand largest rice exporter , still got others foods , misc stuffs. Naturally their local pay lesser than us.
But one thing will affect also due to foreigners. Just like bangkok , a lot of their stuffs price over these year increase same for property due to Rich foreigners , foreigners come in buy the property at high price since they can afford due to currency exchange rate.
just like us here in SG if you own a condo , sell off and move to Bangkok, you can afford More Atas bigger Condo at there which cost a lot just like You are a foreigner come SG buy landed house at Sentosa Coven there.
