Criticizing ceca is now racist?
#1

Quote:LHL: “We must also have the moral courage to take a stand against racist behaviour, to express clear disapproval of racist incidents when they happen,” he said.

“And what is much harder: To call out deliberate racist agitation that masquerades as something else. Like the campaign against CECA, which claimed to be about putting Singaporeans first, but had a strong racial undertone.”

Criticising CECA should be made illegal as CECA create jobs for Singaporeans.

Criticising CECA is like trying to take jobs away from Singaporeans.

Hence laws are needed to protect Singaporeans.

There is not "campaign" against CECA...but voices of concern....

How does putting Singaporeans first carry racial overtones when Singaporeans are multi racial?

Well, now there is no room of misquote of what PM said..

He officially linked the against of CECA with racism..

And to trust that he is our PM..

If putting Singaporean first have a strong racial undertone, then anything can have a strong racial undertone, since isn't putting own country's citizen first a priority of any govt?

1. I have served the nation in a combat unit for 2.5 + 10 years. I had fulfilled my duty as a citizen, but has the country do it's part for me?
2. I don't know where the threat of CCP is, but I know the threat of CECA is already at my doorsteps
3. I had been called a CCP, JHK, Pinoy, but they never called me a CECA..

Right.

So selecting a particular race for president or pm have even stronger racial tones.

So is the banning of dialects.

It is just unfortunate that ceca is from South Asia. So it looks like racism. But they are separate concepts.

Still we can't deny there are some racial discrimination here , same as every other place on Earth. LKY knew this.

What to do? This is life.

Most people don't have a racist campaign against Ceca. But there are definitely some who have. We just have to be careful.

Racism can never be eradicated. This is an established fact.

Constructive criticism, comments, debates etc to better understand racial issues and prevent racial flare up are perfectly alright and legitimate.

Because they are losers who envy the good jobs and good life FTs from India enjoyed in Singapore

One whiny loser here suffers from PTSD, depression and anxiety from losing her job

Which drove her to develop a deep hatred for PAP and those who support FTAs, like me

Sad but true

There are others like me. I do not lose my job because of FTs, neither do I envy them since I don't really yearn for material comforts.

I come from the point of the social impact caused by mass import of foreigners. How is it that when I go everywhere, I see more foreigners than locals? Moreover, Ceca has a higher likelihood to assimilate us than they being assimilated. I am sure if there is a lower number of them we will never have such an issue of resentment. PAP has to acknowledge that it is their policies that caused this. Now that there's resentment, they point the finger back to us for being xenophobic.

No wonder more and more people are not putting flags outside their homes during national day period.

Would it happen that in the future, whenever we are not satisfied with a policy, PAP will come out and say we have a strong 'anti-nation' undertone?

racial harmony is necessary for singapore peace.
it should never be use to favour a single foreign country
against singaporean.
foreigner is foreigner. not a singapore race.
in natural progression the singapore race will emerge.
at that time no race necessary on our ic.
it will be some time much later as large influx of new singaporean without
naturalization has move time to happen longer into future.

do not trust any country to counter balance another. especially those that
has already demonstrated again and again that the interest within their country
is diverse and more and more money is needed as each will fight for their own.
where even ang mo not much success. go in lightly to test water.

6 months consider okay...they will just say in N.Korea criticism leads to death. That is why N.Korea is a highly harmonious society......no protest, no criticism ...everything harmonious.
