🚲 Cycling on pedestrian-only paths? You can be jailed and fined $2,000

Cyclists and PMD users caught riding on pedestrian-only paths in Singapore now face up to 3 months' jail and a $2,000 fine, warns LTA. Over 200km of footpaths have been converted and clearly marked for pedestrians only, with red paths reserved for cyclists. Authorities urge users to follow new rules to ensure safety, with enforcement actions targeting reckless or non-compliant behaviour.

You can't cycle between Pasir Ris mall and the MRT station. The pedestrian overflow into the cycling track.

I ask LTA, still can cycle on pavement only for bicycle not power one or PMD.. I thought cannot. If not then those taking their kid to school using road
will be very dangerous for us driver and old folk cyclist taking their grandson to school.

This law only apply to those which have 2 lane, specially make for pedestrian and cyclist.

May be the government should change the pedestrian path to red and cycling track to grey to solve this problem. Over at my place, people also like to stand at the cycling track to wait for bus or taxi
