Don’t cycle during peak hours on the roads.
Take bus or train is safer

Many of the PG and PG's parents cycled to and fro work. They were poor.
Was she cycling to work or just for leisure?

Unless she is a poor Chinese woman from a poor Chinese out and out countryside, I would be interested to know why a Singaporean woman would cycle to work...Â
If she were, then it was really a bad accident especially if she arrived not too long ago and was not familiar with the road psychology here which was vastly different from China's.

There are Singaporeans who still cycle to work if workplace is near their homeÂ
Faster than walkingÂ
Some save money to pay high housing loanÂ
Feed kids feed dog feed cats feed siao San
Feed parentsÂ
Whatever
