not totally true. this round the rich got hit harder. first shares, etc drop. so their wealth decreased.
later gst increased means their money buying power decreased by the gst % increased. worker has to fight for wage increased to counter gst incfreased. retired jialat. fixed pay out , buying power go down. the rebate no enough. hope gov can put money to the retirement account to counter increased.
compared to income tax, gst is a better tax as it tax those who used singapore infra to help pay for the cost.
hope gov also look at cost.like the amount of gardening on the road is over done already. from not enough pruning to over done. too much budget allocated. what that has not cut during covid-19 should not try to cover back it is over.

The poor got affected more and still must pay GST.
