I have received a few calls about my Singtel Internet Broadband, and the number appear on my mobile is +65 82481748.
She claimed that there is a abnormal loads of data found with my internet and that they need me to verify a few things. She had said that they are trying to verify that I am not running illegal or something.
The person sound like an Indian lady and had asked me to check on my router's light....asking how many were blinking. I have told them 5, which the lady abruptly cancel the call...
And the best part of all....I am not using Singtel Internet Broadband.....I had plan to play with them, but the call was cancelled.
Otherwise I will have an eventful afternoon....
Previously they claimed that they are from DBS and found abnormity. When they asked for my IC, just give a dubious number, after all they have our phone number. They don't have our identification number....

Hv to be extra careful and alert. Cut off their call and contact SingTel directly to verify. Lots of scams these days, purportedly claimed from SingTel and DBS. That’s why I trf all my money to UOB.

Haiz!
Just like fake MOM calls that are made by Indians, too. My ex- colleague received the call and the CECA can quote his FIN #, Date of Birth, full name. . . .and threatened him for $$$.

Thank you for your kind comment. I am not as sharp as you have commented.
I simply get bored having work from home for a while, so needed something to exercise my mind…..
The previous Indian call who post as DBS staff claimed that my account having irregular activities. So I played along and said that I transferred money to overseas regularly, (which is a lie of course). And that’s why they caught the attention.
I told them that all my activities are in supervision by MAS, and asked him if they know who is MAS? And went to to explained that I should be cleared from their checks and that their bank should know that…..the Indian began to ask for more information, which I told them I can’t unless they tell me the authorised code. And also told home that he may not be at the level to have the authorization….so I ask to speak with his higher management. The Indian guy gave up and hang up my call. It was fun….
