A dad-of-five who couldn't afford to rent a flat after his divorce now lives on a narrowboat and saves more than £3,000 a month.
James Posner, 44, a commercial property sector surveyor, had been looking at bedsits and house shares after splitting from his wife – but ended up crafting a home that offers him freedom, financial stability and is suitable for his children to visit.
Posner – who renovated the 50-year-old boat himself – now documents his narrowboat lifestyle on his YouTube channel, calling it "London's best kept secret" amid the cost-of-living crisis.
