I like both town centres. They are 2 of the better ones in Singapore. Both have nice library, several malls, and HDB shops.

Outside of the town centres? Jurong East have nice green walking areas due to the Jurong Lake Gardens, Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden. Tampines if combined with Pasir Ris has quite a lot of green walkways too, starting from Sun Plaza Park and ending at Pasir Risk Park.
