I can’t get used to a car that is so quiet, I want to hear the sound of the engine.

There are a few problems with EVs….one of them is battery charging, it takes at least 8 hrs to charge, in other countries they have battery swapping stations, the robot swaps the batteries within 3 mins, when are we going to have that in Spore? The other problem is safety, there are many incidents of Tesla cars bursting into fire in the middle of the road due to battery problems and the driver and passengers died inside because they were unable to open the windows manually from inside as electricity was cut off….in order to put off the fire caused by lithium battery, the firemen have to use 1-2 tons of water, the fire can’t be put off until the battery is fully burnt, not sure if the latest models cater for this.

In my opinion I don't think swapping batteries is a good idea. You don't know the swapped battery condition.
Most EV car fire is probably caused by short circuit in the electrical system and not the batteries themselves. Also I think it's not wise to put the fire out by water as water is a good conductor for electrical fire.
As for the people who died in their Tesla Cars because of fire, they probably didn't know they can use the car headrest to break the window glass to get out .

The fire is very hard to put out as lithium battery will burn completely out before the fire is off, fire extinguisher is also not going to help.

Need to either standardize the batteries or have swapping system to ensure we get recharged battery on the go. There needs to be a mix of ev charging stations and battery swapping stations. As for the battery quality, that should be resolved by having membership so you get good quality control and care. There should be 3rd party swapping stations to cater to all ev makes.

Yes you are absolutely right
Personally encountered one car on fire
The fire started from battery compartment. Used 2kg dry power fire extinguisher tried to extinguish the 🔥
but in vain. At last the car was scrapped due to BER ( beyond economical repair)
No sure using CO2 can solve the issue or other type of FE which is environmental friendly.
