It's easy to recognise because of its straight, long and uniform structure. Not many hc were like that. It was rebuilt in early 2000, maybe 2005

Wah, this must be before 1960. I used to pass Newton Circle whenever I "lo por" or went down to the city as I stayed in Bukit Panjang kampong and I dun remember seeing stalls like that. I remember the HC was just beside the circle.     Big Grin

May be 20 years after Raffles landed because they were using stools for sitting already. Before that they used long low benches where the customers squat on them when eating.   Big Grin

Yes,  the food centre then was not a long straight line.
It was beside a bus terminal.
