Many Singaporeans lives is work work work and no life. When retire ...become clueless. They should build a life outside work and family.
2nd stop buying things on loan or mortgagees, the interest you pay to the bank enough for you to retire

True many year ago thought I go to work to pass time. At every interview said will call me but nvr call. I think ppl see u old also scare u drop dead on the job

Start saving at 30s
Try and clear your mortgages by mid 40 and more debts.
At 40s you want to buy big ticket items and take loan, your deposit must be at least 75-80%
By 55, you should have enough saving and safe investment to retire
If you are still working at 55, your salary is to add onto your savings and free to enjoy some luxury with your spare cash
