Becuz their NS programme include woman and man. Heard previously the male instructor in camp get romantically linked to the woman recruit. In Spore only man do the NS woman no need so no such problem. Only problem is the 302 gays lor.

I wonder whether the day will come when we have to enlist women as well because of our dwindling number of young men?

One other option is to require male new citizens to do NS.

But I would consider it a bad idea to make PRs do NS which some peepur had suggested because PRs are not Singaporeans. It's absurd to train a Malaysian in our SAF to defend ourselves from the Malaysians.

Ours is 12 weeks BMT 7 x 12 = 84 days.

Then still need to go to NCO skool or OCS some more….
