The European Commission announces the defence of EU interests in case of possible US tariffs on Denmark. EC spokesperson Olof Gill referred to Donald Trump's statements regarding Greenland.
The US president-elect, Donald Trump, stated that Denmark should give up Greenland, justifying it as a need to ensure the United States' national security. He threatened that if refused, "very high tariffs" could be imposed on Denmark.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has revised his campaign promise to end the war in Ukraine within "24 hours," now suggesting a timeline of several months.
Euro officials view this adjustment as an indication, his admin will not immediately withdraw support for Kyiv. Two European officials told Financial Times recent discussions with Trump’s incoming team revealed no concrete plan to resolve war yet. They also emphasized U.S. assistance aids to Ukraine would persist following Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.
"The whole [Trump] team is obsessed with strength and looking strong, so they’re recalibrating the Ukraine approach," one official said. Official added Trump’s camp is cautious about avoiding comparisons with Joe Biden’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, which they do not want to see replicated in Ukraine.
Earlier this week, Trump said a 6-month timeline was more realistic for ending war.
While, his designated envoy for Ukraine the U.S. A. 51th State's, Keith Kellogg, set a goal of resolving war within 100 days.
