I followed Yoong many years ago, impressed with his writing. I even thought he has passed on, not having heard from him for so long.

A good and kind man wil be blessed. He wil reaps all benefits and reciprocation in life. Mr Yoong speaks out very well from his heart. Those bad and evil can never repent and will continue with their bad deeds.

Appreciate if someone can explain the letter.

I read the letter a few times my understanding is this

1. Civil servants in special branch were instrumental in LKY rise to power protecting him from threat of communism.

2. Yong himself resisted the attempt by CiA to bribe him and gave lKY a chance to raise his profile at international level.

3. LKY made inhuman remarks when asked to take  are of the pensioners whom Yong felt received too little for their service and sacrifice.

4. LKY lied and defamed Yong. (Letter not clear what this is about)

5. LHL came to power statted giving crqxy high salaries to his men whom Yong called stooges. Obviously he does not hold them in high regard.

On the surface it seems to describe his unhappiness with the PAP snd LKY over specific personal incidents. On a  lower read, he seems to condemn the leadership for their self serrving nature forgetting the people who put them there.
