- Ex-NSA contractor Edward Snowden, 2019 -

“Facebook’s internal purpose, whether they state it publicly or not, is to compile perfect records of private lives to the maximum extent of their capability, and then exploit that for their own corporate enrichment. And damn the consequences,” Snowden told Swisher. “This is actually precisely the same as what the NSA does. Google ... has a very similar model.

“....The more Google knows about you, the more Facebook knows about you, the more they are able ... to create permanent records of private lives, the more influence and power they have over us,” Snowden told Swisher. “There is no good reason why Google should be able to read your email. There is no good reason why Google should know the messages that you’re sending to your friend. Facebook shouldn’t be able to see what you’re saying when you’re writing to your mother.”

Let's make a guess -

Will you bet the Europeans have the guts to demand Mark Zuckerberg to fly to Brussels (EU's HQ) to answer to the EU "committee of hearing" to answer to the charges against FB-Meta for illegally copying European citizens data to USA servers ? Big Grin

Why Facebook decided to change its logo and re-name to "Meta"...back from 2018...

Big Grin

Facebook has been caught on the back foot again over its data privacy practices, following an investigation by the New York Times.
The newspaper has disclosed fresh details about ways the social network shared access to users' data with other tech firms, including Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, Spotify and Yandex. In some cases, the other companies have said they were not even aware they had special access. Facebook has defended its behaviour.
