You are right, once calibrated, no need to worry whether it works or not, it will be accurate whenever any idiot using it, it will be idiot-proof. Just like fire extinguisher, no need to inspect daily once it was fill up and checked once.

Whether the scale spoil or not has got nothing to do with calibration. It's up to the daily inspection and maintenance liao.
