TSMC was asked to do 2 things: 

1. Shift factory to US where all the costs of production is 8 times higher than in Taiwan. The shift was asked by Trump and TSMC complied.    

2. World no. 1 TSMC and no. 2 Samsung were told to submit all the business secrets to US gov. World no. in terms of manufacturing is Intel. TSMC and Samsung were told to submit within 45 days.  

What will be step no. 3?  

Almost certain, TSMC will be like France Alstom or Japan's Toshiba. The only one that can withstand US bully is Huawei.
