I am not as naive as Jac Lau. So, here is my 2 cents worth about ACLP.

1) All these fcking WSG Courses are only recognized by local companies ie ST Engineering or to conduct Short courses under WSG

2) These certs are useful only if you are apply for those jobs in local companies as Training Exec/ Mgr/ Instructor

3) My friend has MBA and teaching in ITE.
MOE does not even require this as a condition for her to teach

4) Those LJ Morons in white made people chase certs like toilet paper
It was actually called ACTA, then DACE. Now, ACLP
So, how many times you want to go through Ong YK's stupidity when he helmed Adult Learning/ MOE portfolio

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

If all those past 5 MoE Ministers had really planned, a good proper degree serves as a good foundation because it is structured while these 1 week courses, are merely to help with new/ tech skills.

However, due to lapses in planning and weakness in managing retrenchment/ terminations, Govt had to make people go through unnecessary courses that cannot fill the unknown future skills gap in the new job.

Skills conversion is really hardy if it is full- time and 2 or 3 years in duration. Not what the Govt has been driving to waste our time.

Win the World but lost your Soul.
