Trump accused other countries of "raping and pillaging " America because they have trade surplus with USA.

The best way for all this to end is for the US$ to devalie and lose its reserve currency status. Once that happens Americans can go back to making T shirts and shoes just like what Trump wants for them. The USD will be so weak Americans will stop buying imported goods and trader deficit will disappear.

Trump keeps whining that other countries make their currency weak to get an advantags in trade. Then why dont US dollar just devalue??

Not so quick and clear cut.  Trump has shut the front door,  he has not shut the back door. He still allow transshipment. This would cushion the tariff’s impact except the goods will be slightly more expensive. Quite sure they r controlling that channel until they can get rid of them.
