Dun think Putin intends to invade Ukraine. Putin started by massing his army along the border to pressure Ukraine and US to agree on his terms of his demands. After failing to achieve that he ordered his army to move into Ukraine and knocked off a few cities and Ukraine Command Center.

Now he is offering to give Ukraine a chance to talk for settlement after whacking them. Now it is like putting a gun on the Ukraine's President head and offer talk after failing to get what he wants by massing troops along border......

I don't it would be as quick as how Afghanistan rolled over to the Taliban. Ukrainians have more will to fight and even if they lose, hopefully they take out as many of the invading scum as possible.
