Actually I pity the Chinese who bought. They're mostly people (the farmers) who got a windfall out of selling their lands to the Chinese govt. They're not very educated but got a large sum of money plus relocation housing so the rich developers sell them a dream - the dream of having easy access to Singapore. But the developers never tell them that despite their proximity, it is not so easy to come to Singapore.

those landed houses in forest city are very nice and dirt cheap. one sg boss bought 4 units, intended for staff recreation. now left empty.
imagine if you can grow plants herbs vegies, rear chickens and ducks for eggs, bbq anytime, dip in the sea, fishing or simply lie down on the beach doing nothing. shiok right?

1. Where are the people to fill the housing coming from. Johoreans are leaving for Singapore and KL.
An apartment without demand how is it going to work.
2.There was already a glut of JB property during that time. How can market absorb?

the original idea was for the hsr to run from kl to sg, with a stop at fc. now this idea is scrapped.
what's the next better idea for fc to prosper, and sinkees to fulfil their dreams of owning a cheap condo or landed, and for both garments to benefit from? the idea shdnt be too difficult if all parties involved are willing to cooperate
if fc dun catch up, it'll lose big to pc when the rts is ready in a few yrs time
