Zelenskyj fires central employees

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has fired two senior officials. They are said to be responsible for numerous cases of collaboration with Russia in their authorities.


With a decree, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj surprisingly dismissed Attorney General Iryna Venediktova and the head of the national security service SBU, Ivan Bakanov.He later told Telegram that more than 60 of Bakanov's and Venediktova's associates were working against Ukraine in the Russian-held territories. These are crimes against the foundations of national security.
