Narrated Masruq:

‘Aisha said, "If anyone tells you that Muhammad has seen his Lord, HE IS A LIAR, FOR ALLAH SAYS: ‘No vision can grasp Him.’ (6.103) And if anyone tells you that Muhammad has seen the Unseen, he is a liar, for Allah says: ‘None has the knowledge of the Unseen but Allah.’" (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 93, Number 477)

So is your prophet a liar? He claimed to see God but his wife said that no one should believe that... you see the contradiction in your own book?

Narrated Mu’adh ibn Jabal
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) was detained one morning from observing the dawn prayer (in congregation) along with us till the sun had almost appeared on the horizon. He then came out hurriedly and Iqamah for prayer was observed and he conducted it (prayer) in brief form. When he had concluded the prayer by saying As-salamu alaykum wa Rahmatullah, he called out to us saying: Remain in your places as you were. Then turning to us he said: I am going to tell you what detained me from you (on account of which I could not join you in the prayer) in the morning. I got up in the night and performed ablution and observed the prayer as had been ordained for me. I dozed in my prayer till I was overcome by (sleep) and lo, I found myself in the presence of my Lord, the Blessed and the Glorious, IN THE BEST FORM. He said: Muhammad! I said: At Thy service, my Lord. He said: What these highest angels contend about? I said: I do not know. He repeated it thrice. He said: Then I saw Him put HIS PALMS between my shoulder blades till I felt the coldness of HIS FINGERS between the two sides of my chest. Then everything was illuminated for me and I could recognize everything. He said: Muhammad! I said: At Thy service, my Lord. He said: What do these high angels contend about? I said: In regard to expiations. He said: What are these? I said: Going on foot to join congregational prayers, sitting in the mosques after the prayers, performing ablution well despite difficulties. He again said: Then what do they contend? I said: In regard to the ranks. He said: What are these? I said: Providing of food, speaking gently, observing the prayer when the people are asleep. He again said to me: Beg (Your Lord) and say: O Allah, I beg of Thee (power) to do good deeds, and abandon abominable deeds, to love the poor, that Thou forgive me and show mercy to me and when Thou intendst to put people to trial Thou causes me to die unblemished and I beg of Thee Thy love and the love of one who loves Thee and the love for the deed which brings me near to Thy love. Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: It is a truth, so learn it and teach it.
Transmitted by Ahmad, Tirmidhi who said: This is a hasan sahih hadith and I asked Muhammad ibn Isma'il about this hadith and he said: It is a sahih hadith. (Tirmidhi Hadith, Number 245; ALIM CD-ROM Version)

Quran chapter one

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

All praise is for Allah—Lord of all worlds

the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,

Master of the Day of Judgment.

You ˹alone˺ we worship and You ˹alone˺ we ask for help.

Guide us along the Straight Path,

the Path of those You have blessed—not those You are displeased with, or those who are astray.

Pls read carefully... it's in the hadith

Narrated Mu’adh bin Jabal:

“One morning, the Messenger of Allah was prevented from coming to us for Salat As-Subh, until we were just about to look for the eye of the sun (meaning sunrise). Then he came out quickly, had the Salat prepared for. The Messenger of Allah performed the Salat, and he performed his Salat in a relatively quick manner. When he said the Salam, he called aloud with his voice saying to us: ‘Stay in your rows as you are.’ Then he turned coming near to us, then he said: ‘I am going to narrate to you what kept me from you this morning: I got up during the night, I performed Wudu and prayed as much as I was able to, and I dozed off during my Salat, and fell deep asleep. Then I SAW MY LORD, Blessed and Most High, IN THE BEST OF APPEARANCES. He said: ‘O Muhammad!’ I said: ‘My Lord here I am my Lord!’ He said: ‘What is it that the most exalted group busy themselves with?’ I said: ‘I do not know Lord.’ And He said it three times.” He said: “So I saw Him place HIS PALM between my shoulders, and I sensed the coolness of HIS FINGERTIPS between my breast. Then everything was disclosed for me, and I became aware. So He said: ‘O Muhammad!’ I said: ‘Here I am my Lord!’ He said: ‘What is it that the most exalted group busy themselves with?’ I said: ‘In the acts that atone.’ He said: ‘And what are they?’ I said: ‘The footsteps to the congregation, the gatherings in the Masajid after the Salat, Isbagh Al-Wudu during difficulties.’ He said: ‘Then what else?’ I said: ‘Feeding others, being lenient in speech, and Salat during the night while the people are sleeping.’ He said: ‘Ask.’ I said: ‘O Allah! I ask of you the doing of the good deeds, avoiding the evil deeds, loving the poor, and that You forgive me, and have mercy upon me. And when You have willed Fitnah in the people, then take me without the Fitnah. And I ask You for Your love, the love of whomever You love, and the of the deeds that bring one nearer to Your love.’” The Messenger of Allah said: “Indeed it is true, so study it and learn it.”

If someone was rude to you, insulted you, and later comes to you and apologises, and you can sense that he is sincere, surely you can forgive him, right or not?  Even if you touch a girl at the wrong place, she can also forgive you if you sincerely apologize to her for that moment of lust and indiscretion. Of course, most would not let it go and would call the police.  Your marller can forgive you too, even after you've shouted at her, if you go up to her and say Emak, saya salah, tolong maafkan saya.

If you sin against God, He can also forgive you if you confess and ask for His forgiveness.  Christ is not going to die over and over each taim any of the 8 billion peepur in this world sins.

There was only one occasion when God had said Sin = Death. Only once - at the Garden of Eden.

Adam sinned and the penalty was paid for by Jesus.  This is the only Sin which God cannot forgive, which must be settled because God does not go back on His Word.  He had said Death, and Death it must be, or else God would be a rather fickle-minded one lorh.

Even if God forgives all our sins of telling lies, mocking Christians, worshipping the wrong god, stealing, etc, we still end up south of heaven if the Mother of all sins, the penalty for the Original Sin is not paid for.  The Death and Resurrection of Jesus is not about forgiving sins per se but Redemption and Reconciliation with God.

Nowhere in the Bible is it written that after having received Christ, we have a divine license to commit sins..

Further, when we've received Christ, God's Holy Spirit dwells in us.  The desire to sin is not there, only the desire to please God.  However, for as long as we are still breathing recycled oxygen, the old man is still in us, and this old man of ours is very capable of doing some very nasty things.  The apostle Paul understood this dilemma.  The spirit is willing, the flesh is weak.  This is when we go to God and ask for His forgiveness, and it is possible to go to Him because the Way has been laid for us through Christ.

Yes, sunna.com.

Abdul always said that we should listen to the scholars.  He'd meant Islamic scholars of course.  So we should bring to this forum more Hadiths, and let this place be a little Cell Group, to borrow a term from the Christians, where we meet regularly, or daily, to study the Hadiths to better understand the Quran.

I must thank you for your tireless efforts in bringing various teachings from the Hadiths for discussion.  Even the Muslims here have benefitted from it when I saw that some of the things mentioned in the Hadiths were new to them.  They didn't know Islam taught those until you mentioned them.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was a subject I heard about long long ago.

If you have received Christ, the Holy Spirit indwells you.  The new man cannot blaspheme the Holy Spirit.  When I say "cannot", I don't mean you are not allowed to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, but rather, it is not the new man's nature at all to do such a thing.

Hope had made fun of the Holy Spirit in the other thread. He did that because he did not believe that there was a Holy Spirit.  I squirmed because I believe in the Holy Spirit.  Hope is not the first and will not be the last who blasphemed the Holy Spirit.  Millions and millions of men and women, now dead or still alive, had done that before.

Suppose Satan says to a man, Christians say that you must accept Christ right?  And the man answers, right.  After that, you will be reconciled with God right?  Right.  And if the old man in you sins, you can ask God for forgiveness now, right?  Right. But if you've insulted the Holy Spirit, and made fun of Him, that sin cannot be forgiven right?  Right.  And you did insult the Holy Spirit, true or not?  True.  So what's the point of accepting the Gospel of Jesus Christ?  That sin cannot be forgiven.   Agree?  Agree.  (And that's what Satan wants us to believe)

I don't know why they like to brush the Hadiths away when these are the authentic sources for learning Islam as written by Islamic scholars.   Many years ago, maybe 40 years or longer, I used to have a Quran.  I read it from cover to cover, and in those days, I learned things faster than now, yet I could not understand the Quran.  What I read, and still am reading from the online version, was a collection of sayings, much like reading Proverbs or Psalms in the Bible.

In those days,l I did not know that there were Hadiths.  Never even heard of that word.  Nao that I know that the Hadiths explain the Quran as interpreted by Islamic scholars who are proficient in Arabic, I think we should refer to these to study the Quran and Islam.

Is that just? One man made a mistake and we all bear the guilt? Whose idea is that? Certainly not the biblical prophets. None of them taught their people that. As a matter of fact, Ezekiel taught his people the direct opposite, that the son shall not bear the guilt of the father. So how come you believe the opposite of what Ezekiel taught?

Furthermore, there is another problem with that theology. You said Jesus already paid for the sin of Adam. But the punishment is still ongoing. Men must continue earning a living, "toil the earth"  And what about Eve? How come women are still being punished for that original sin today?
