After 2 decades as the PM and stepping down to be a SM, is LHL going to be less pronounced in politics and finally get to the ground with more grassroots activities in amk GRC? 

Is he going to be the voice on the ground to shake up the policies given that he will have more time for the people now that the heavy burden of running the country is on LW?

I had a new revelation on 38 oxley thingy.

I think personal gains aside, LHL actually acts more independently than I previously deem him to be.

LKY had wanted to demolish or restrict access to his 38 oxley. This is a personal decision that the kids are supposed to carry out. But LHL knows that personal wishes cannot override state or government decision. This actually is correct and according to the laws of the land that LKY had always maintained it to be.

LHY on the other hand was the executor of will and for sure he has to present what LKY wanted. And LHY kind of had a lot more personal interest to see 38 oxley gets demolished.

LHL had since left the office, although many believe he still pulls the string behind LW administration. Nevertheless, LHL will pass on eventually. Noticed that he never wanted any legacy for himself but the founders of Singapore? I think we might have accused LHL of too many things. I personally don't think he did a fantastic job with Singapore in the last 2 decades, at least not significantly better for the lives of the commoners as compared to LKY administration. But we also must recognise that different phase of growth and the global conditions are not like for like to make comparison.

Let's hope we don't waste too much money on all the 38 oxley stuff and direct resources towards Singapore renewal and better future for her citizens.
