Fresh graduate Nur Tasleem Banu, who studied Applied Math, has been applying for internships, part-time gigs and jobs since May 2020.
Although she is only graduating from the National University of Singapore this year, she wanted to get an internship or some work experience first, but had no luck until recently.
“You're like ... I haven't gotten a job and you're wondering when you're going to get a job. Is the economy going to recover? Are you going to be unemployed for a long time?” she said, adding that she knows many seniors who graduated last year and are still on traineeships.
And while she would prefer a full-time job, the 23-year-old told CNA that she is happy to pick up some skills and experience first as an intern or trainee. She landed a traineeship under the National Youth Council’s YouthTech programme last month and started work last week.

Actually, there are not enough jobs for all the 3 Age Groups in SG, esp mid- career because PAP is still issuing Unlimited Employment Pass to FTs like 20 years ago.
The more FTAs signed, the more jobless/ under- employed we become.
Skillls Future does not address this problem. Neither does Career Coach nor JobsBank.
Why do we need 5 Mayors and 87 PAP Ministers?

They dun have the relevant experience n most important job market limitation for her degree cert... FTs better they have the skills n market demand for their relevant cert...

So where is wrong?
There is no right or wrong decisions.
One only has to bear the consequences that one makes
